ORLANDO, Fla. -- For the first time in U.S. history, the next generation of Americans may be less educated than the previous one.
Angila and Shaponica, two young girls not even in high school yet, say they gave up on their education because the education system gave up on them. These young women aren't alone. In fact, one-third of all American ninth-graders are expected to drop out of school, creating a generation of Americans who cannot compete in a global market… Experts say Chinese students spend 12 hours in the classroom while American students only spend seven, and their work is paying off.
