Graduate Schools Again Admit More International Students, but Total Still Lags From 2003
The number of foreign students who received admissions offers from American graduate schools rose in 2007 for the third straight year, according to survey results scheduled for release today by the Council of Graduate Schools. This year's 8-percent increase is less than last year's 12-percent gain (The Chronicle, September 1, 2006), but is still expected to contribute to the gradual recovery in the number of international students at American colleges and universities, which dropped sharply in 2004.
