Better graduates needed

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) yesterday urged educational institutions to help cope with the predicted population decline in the next 20 years by producing graduates strong in language, vocation and ethics. HEC deputy secretary-general Suchart Muangkaew said he had spoken about the role of higher education and its impact on Thailand's future at a recent seminar in Illinois in the United States.
